2014: December

The last month of the year was dark, cold and wet as one expects here but I still managed to get some photography outings done.  Early in the month I sat exams in the Norwegian language as the first steps in the process of gaining citizenship and afterwards set off to snap a couple of the architectural icons of Bergen.  Then it was Christmas, then the snow came…

The Alexander Dale Oen Arena opened recently – Bergen’s Olympic standard swimming and diving centre.
The Grieghallen concert venue has become a Bergen icon over the years and I got this shot on a wet and cold night.
The city’s Christmas lights went up including these in Strandgaten.
And then it was Christmas…
Then the snow came and at least one granddaughter was caught on camera having fun in the snow.
Us old farts had some fun in the snow too capturing the landscape and the light.

As ever vote in the poll below for your favourite shot above and it will be added to tomorrow’s gallery of the twelve best.

  1. I thought other candidates to vote for/on were difficult? Excellent architectural shots but for me it had to be Gold in the snow? and that was not a choice : ) My best to you and those you love now and tomorrow ; )
