The Golden Season

As autumn prepares to make way for winter in the northern hemisphere we here in Bergen have been subjected to some very rainy and stormy weather over the last couple of weeks.  A brief respite and some very rare sunny intervals over the last two days allowed me to get out and see what is left of the autumn colours after the high winds have left many of our trees almost bare.  In the watery, weak sunshine there was still some golden autumn colour to be found…

Stream
Some leaves still cling to the branches above a stream as others litter the ground.
Sapling
A sapling holds onto some golden leaves and cobwebs despite the stormy weather of late.
Forest
The few leaves left in the woods are a lovely shade now in late autumn.
