On Monday I found out that I was the winner of the August photo of the month competition.  The theme was HDR in the City and a shot I took last year in Paris was voted the winner.  Perhaps not the biggest photo competition in the world but it’s always a good feeling to be a winner and on top of this I was asked last week for the use of one of my photos by the Fortidsminneforeningen, which is the Society for the Preservation of Norwegian Ancient Monuments so not a bad few days for yours truly…

Winner’s Box

The winner of the August photo contest on “HDR in the City” was Iain MacFadzean with amazing HDR city scene. Congrats Iain! The September photo contest has now started on “High Impact Portrait Photography” – see below.

  1. Congrats Iain……it’s a great image. I love the way the buildings, the street and the layers in the sky lead you to the Eiffel Tower on the horizon.

    1. Cheers Mark. Like I said it wasn’t a top comp but it’s always good to be a winner. It’s a photo I’ve always liked (there’s a print on the living room wall) ad when I saw the category for the comp that was always going to be the entry. 😀

  2. Congratulations. This was one of the many wonderful shots that you have featured of your trip to Paris last year and it is a real winner. Congrats too on having the Ancient Monuments folks ask to use one of your photos–I would expect that the Bergen tourism bureau would be knocking on your door soon too.
