Sunlit Bergen

A small selection of photos of Bergen during the recent spell of brilliantly sunny weather…

An old building in the brilliant sunshine at the Gamle Bergen open air museum.
A view across to the main street at Gamle Bergen.
Looking across the bay back towards the centre of town.
Enjoying a beer at the Bryggen with the Statsraad Lehmkuhl sailing ship and Rosenkrantz Tower in the background.
Looking down from Mount Fløyen over the harbour and out towards the island of Askøy.

  1. Love the church photo! I bet you could sell prints of that one.

What a lovely little corner of the earth… seems like a beautiful place to live.

Do I have to marry a Norwegian to come live there? 🙂

  2. Aaah…With the help of your photography I can feel Bergen breathing a sigh of relief and coming out of hibernation…from as far away as Australia! Thank you for the insight you offer into a country unknown to me. Happy Sunday to you and Mrs. M 🙂

  3. Gorgeous! Everything is just so GREEN. Like Patricia commented above me, it looks like a fairytale.

Also, I’m pretty jealous of your sunny weather. We’ve got clouds and grey skies over here in Spain.
